Predictions of the 2009 Oscar Nominees


So with only 2 more days until the Oscar nominees are announced I have decided to go ahead an predict who might get nominated this year. I generally do this every year, but this is the first year in which I've actually posted my predictions. I'm only picking the main six categories.

  1. I am sure Slumdog will pull out the win, and deservably so. Everything (music,acting,cinematography,directing,etc.)came together perfectly in that film. However, my favorite film of the year was Benjamin Button, but that one seems a long shot. If Button doesn't win for make-up...the Oscars are rigged and I'll quit watching. Yea right...I made that same threat if Ledger didn't win for Brokeback Mountain and I still tune in every year.

  2. I was a little disappointed in The Dark Knight not getting a nod for Best Picture, but oh well. I guess the The Reader is that good. I shall find out soon. I must say that Slumdog is the front runner now and has a serious possibility to win all 10 categories it's up for. At least this is a better series of films this year than it has been in the past. Definitely more depth and balance of stories that are truly remarkable.
